“Amy is a passionate disciple, eager to share (through wit and wisdom) of God’s healing hand in her life.  Her message is one of hope and redemption, bringing beauty from the ashes.  Her precious heart is bared for all to see through her writing and her speaking.”

From Catherine Dwyer, Program Manager, DIRECTIONS! Rape Crisis Support & Advocacy Services: My thanks to Amy for helping make our Take Back the Night event a success.  Amy delivered a speech from her heart.  She shared her story of incest and her journey of healing,  allowing the audience to feel her pain and glimpse the experience of ‘brokenness’ that survivors of rape must go through as they begin the healing process.  She allowed herself to be open and vulnerable enough to share from the deepest part of her soul.  Her courage to speak out touched the audience in ways that encouraged them to examine their attitudes and beliefs about rape.  It helped to motivate them toward ending victim blaming and finding the courage within themselves to speak out against rape and sexual assault. Thanks again to Amy and to survivors everywhere for your courage and inspiration.”

  1. I’m so thankful you found me via Twitter so I could discover your blog. We have much in common. And God is good. Blessings on your life and writing!

    • Oh, then we should both thank your twitter friend Tricia Goyer! :) She recommended you as “someone to follow on twitter” and when I saw you were a nurse (like me, too!!!), of course I just had to take her up on it! God is so good . . . even the way He uses technology to weave His church together. Blessings, Vicki!

  3. Hi Amy-
Looks like you are up to some wonderful healing work, sister!
So glad God thought it a good idea our paths crossed.
    HAPPY NEW YEAR!
    Stephanie

  4. Amy, thank you for visiting my blog today. I wanted to let you know that I have just recently been accepted as a speaker for RAINN. I found out about RAINN and the speakers bureau from you! Ever since I read you were a speaker for them, I have thought about signing up. It took me awhile to get up my nerve but lately I have been speaking out more and more. I gave my witness at a Catholic women’s group and it was one of those defining moments for me. Thanks for all you do!
